Website and app for restaurants and hotels in Rwanda
7 min read
Guests search Google, check your menu, then message WhatsApp. A simple website — or a booking app if you are busy — helps them choose you.
Who this is for: Cafes, restaurants, hotels, and guest houses
How guests find you
In Kigali, many guests still find a cafe or hotel through Instagram, a friend, or Google Maps. If they cannot see your menu, prices, hours, or a photo of the room, they often message the next place.
A website does not replace WhatsApp. It answers the first questions so your staff spend less time typing the same replies.
What your website should show
Keep it short. People are on a phone, often on mobile data.
- check_circlePhotos that look like the real place
- check_circleMenu or room types, with prices if you can share them
- check_circleHours, location, and a map pin
- check_circleWhatsApp button for tables, catering, or room questions
- check_circleEnglish for visitors, Kinyarwanda if your local guests prefer it
Orders, tables, and rooms
You do not always need an app. A website with a WhatsApp button is enough for many cafes. A hotel or a busy restaurant may want a simple booking or order page so messages do not get lost.
- check_circleTable or room request that lands on WhatsApp or a shared inbox
- check_circleDaily specials you can update without calling a designer
- check_circleCatering or event page with a short form
- check_circleLater: a small app for regulars or for staff taking orders
MoMo and delivery
If you take MoMo, put the merchant name and number on the site and in WhatsApp. If you use a delivery app, link it. If you deliver yourselves, say the areas and the cut-off time.
Do not let a bot send MoMo codes or confirm payments on its own. A person should check the payment.
We can build this with you

Common questions
Is Instagram enough for a restaurant in Kigali?
Instagram is great for photos. A website plus Google Maps helps people who search by name or “restaurant near me”, and it gives you one place for the real menu and hours.
Can guests book a table or room from the website?
Yes. We can start with a WhatsApp button, or add a simple form. A full booking app comes later if you have enough daily reservations to need it.
Do you work with hotels outside Kigali?
Yes. Guest houses and hotels around the country can use the same setup: website, map, WhatsApp, and clear prices.
